Reinventing ourselves…. once again! After winning the “Innovation in Times of Crisis – Jury’s Choice” Award, which we received on December 17, we now return with brand new programs adapted to social and health regulations for 2021.
This expedition will offer four teenagers in remission of cancer and their family the chance to live an extraordinary adventure and to discover hidden treasures of the province of Quebec along with othe families who went through similar challenges.
An expedition elaborated for and by families!
From Montreal, we’ll travel to Dolbeau-Mistassini where we’ll establish our base camp for one night in order to get ready for departure.
August 10th, we’ll discover the Grandes rivière cycle way from Albanel to Girardville, following the Mistassini shore, and the typical blueberry fields from the Lac-St-Jean region. We’ll also make a pit stop at the majestic 9th fall.
After a good rest, we’ll shuttle up the river and put in our sea kayaks for a three-day expedition down the Mistassini.
On August 13th, at night, we’ll celebrate our journey, before to get back on the road to Montreal the next morning.
The foundation’s team will include two facilitators, one photographer-blogger, as well as medical volunteers (a physician, a nurse, and a psychosocial professional), who’s mission is to keep an eye on everyone’s wellness during the expedition. Looking after the logistical aspects, we’ll bank on the presence of a professional guides.
