Getaway Expedition and Grand Expedition - what's the difference?

The Getaway Expeditions

The Getaway Expeditions are designed for young people undergoing curative cancer treatment or living with limitations resulting from their cancer. They take place on the Poisson Blanc Reservoir, an 85 km² body of water dotted with nearly one hundred islands.

Each expedition lasts four days and is held in the spring for participants aged 14 to 18, and in the fall for those aged 19 to 29 and 30 to 39. Groups are made up of 6 to 10 adolescents or young adults.

Important note: At this time, we are not accepting applications from individuals with cancer who are receiving palliative care.

The Grand Expeditions

The Grand Expeditions offer a unique opportunity to experience an outdoor adventure lasting from 8 to 15 days. Designed for young people who have been in cancer remission for less than five years, they take place twice a year: once in winter and once in summer.

Activities are held in some of the most beautiful regions of the country and vary widely, ranging from hiking and river trips to skiing and dog sledding.

Important note: At this time, we are not accepting applications from individuals with cancer who are receiving palliative care.
