It’s quarter to. Time no longer counts. I write as we navigate. The Poisson Blanc reservoir is slightly agitated, a breeze blows gently on our faces, warmed by the sun that we are grateful to have with us.

I watch the participants. I feel them peaceful, as if they had left something behind and allowed themselves to live today with more lightness, well-being and presence.

We spent the afternoon and the lunch break discussing about everything and nothing, and always in a very frank and transparent manner. It does us good. Everyone gets along perfectly, team spirit is created, and personalities take their place. We spend a lot of time in groups. Sometimes duos or trios are formed to make room for more intimate sharing contexts. Moments of solitude are rarely necessary, but everyone respects and accepts the needs of others. Links are being established. The moments here are precious, we feel it.

It’s still quarter to. We have just arrived at Pointe Dallaire. We took the time to set up our camp. The voyager canoes are lying there, the dome is up and the fire is started. While Justine talks with Carl and Etienne who are cooking, Charles-Antoine gives a “slackline” training to Katy and Serena. Some are swimming, while others discuss or walk on the beach. The site is enchanting, perfect for us!

Our day comes to an end, the sun sets slowly, the light is beautiful, and when we pay attention, we hear the echoing nature. The sound of the waves, the squirrels moving around, the loon that sings and the whispering forest, all these things calm us, help us to let go and remind us that we are part of a whole.

Laughs are plenty, complicity emerges slowly. Adventure does us good.

Time has just disappeared.
