We’ve come from all over. From Moncton to Saguenay, from BC, the Prairies, passing through Montmagny... From coast to coast, from one life experience to another. Day 1. We’re driving, flying, discovering each other, curious, learning one another.
With all these exciting and delightful discoveries, the day flies by! It’s already 4 p.m. as I write these lines, and it feels like I left my Saguenay just 15 minutes ago. We’re arriving at the hotel in small groups, meeting up at the pool, the gym, the lobby. It’s a calm first day, but oh so exciting — you can feel the energy that brings us closer with every shared moment, every conversation.
After all that travel — on the road, on land, in the air — we devour our dinner and share stories eagerly. First time all (or almost all) of us are together — some are still on their way, others will arrive tomorrow morning. We’re starting to grow our group roots.
It’s fascinating, all these journeys, all these life paths that led each and every one of us here, now, to this starting point. In the coming days, we’ll be experiencing the present moment, disconnecting in order to reconnect more deeply.
We’re already collecting stories! We unpacked the whole “Saguenay cousin” phenomenon with Mathieu. We learned that the pickleball craze is coming for us all — yes, Judith says you might judge pickleball at first, but you might end up hooked! And we were all pretty blown away by Jimmy’s 80-day bike trip across Canada (even though he didn’t get the job in Montréal). And this is just the beginning of our stories…
Finally, tomorrow, we’ll all be together to truly start this adventure. We’re already excited to reunite!
So here are a few first words — snapshots and lines to help weave this story you’ll be able to read each morning, to follow your friends, loved ones, siblings, partners and fellow adventurers. Enjoy the read. Come along for the ride.
