Marc Boulianne

Legendary Adventurer

During my studies in outdoor education, the On the Tip of the Toes Foundation was starting its operations and I must say I was impressed. Later on, as an adventure guide, I had the chance to accompany one of their groups in voyageur canoe on the Saguenay River. This has been a significative experience for me. Years later, Jean-Charles Fortin, general manager form the foundation, invited me to join the Club 3A. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get involved with the foundation again and to connect with my former passion.

My collaboration with the foundation as a Club 3A athlete is my way to rally behind a cause that I cherish. Also, to think about the challenges the foundation’s participants have to go through gives me the strength to continue moving forward during my own challenges. It makes me feel like my energy is serving something bigger than me.

When I’m in the nature, I feel alive, at my place and balanced. It’s a context that favorable to creating good relations with others and incredible souvenirs.

I have different projects in mind, hiking, Nordic skiing, canoe-camping and cycle touring. Reconnecting with some kind of nomad lifestyle in a natural environment is what makes me alive. I’d like to complete the Diagonale des fous route on the Reunion Island (170 km/+ 10 000 m ) in 2020.

Living just a few blocks away from the Foundation’s office, Marc is a friend and an exceptional athlete. In 2019, he realized a fundraising campain associated with his participation to a long-distance trail running challenge.
