The Foundation

Ten years ago, I received an invitation to take part in a therapeutic adventure expedition with the On the Tip of the Toes Foundation. When I look back on it today, I tell myself that one of the best decisions I have made is, without a doubt, to have said yes.

I was a participant in the Great Summer Expedition at Assiniboine Park from August 5 to 15, 2012. An expedition that allowed me to see the cancer experience as a stepping stone to greater achievements. I became aware of my strength and my abilities. I learned to surpass myself, but also to stop to appreciate the little things in life. I understood that nothing could stop me.

Today, I am in good health with a bachelor’s degree in Communication: Cultural and Media Production Strategy from Université du Québec à Montréal. I am in charge of production and digital platforms for a non-profit organization that works in the democratization of digital transformation.

The Foundation has given me this legacy of hope, which it is my personal mission to share in turn. Stories like mine that end well, there are very few. If through my strength and my resilience I can make the eyes of young people who are going through particularly difficult times shine, you will see me proud.

Ten years already that I have been involved with the Foundation. With them, I had the honour of being master of ceremonies for Celebrating Life twice, I testified at the National Conference to end cancer (2016) and I carried out two fundraisers (2014 and 2021) with which I donated nearly $10,000 to the Foundation. A member of the Alumni Committee, I am also a new member of their financing-communication-marketing committee.

To conclude, Tip of the Toes, I love you!
