Friday morning, departure from Air-Eau-Bois base camp for a 10 km trip direction Blue Lagoon camp with a stop at the Central Island for lunch. The wind slowly calmed down during the day and participants had a great mindset.
When they arrived, participants were so proud of them that they decided to open their high and low; a surprise package that they can open at a strong moment they find appropriate. A moment of euphoria or despair.
The happiness of the present moment even motivated some participants to jump in the ice cold water and enjoy the sandy beach. It was a beautiful moment on a calm lake without any wind and only some small waves. When the group
got out of the water, they all sat on a big log and the sun came out so the swimmers could dry up while watching the nature and appreciating the silence of it.
(Note to readers: As mentioned in the last blog post, our photograph and blogger volunteer couldn’t make it to the adventure as she was having some flu symptoms. So this is an experimental version written by our office team after receiving voice messages from our outdoor team. One of these messages was a participant’s testimony…😉)

‘We have arrived at our campsite, our first campsite. Today was the most perfect and beautiful day ever. The sun was shining, it wasn’t too hot, it wasn’t too cold, everything was perfect. We have had so much fun so far. The meals have been wonderful. I’m still trying to get use to the bathroom situation which I’m still struggling with, out here in the wilderness, but I could not ask for anything better.
The connections that we are all making so far have been amazing and we are so excited for our first evening together. We’re going to start a campfire and we are going to have a wonderful dinner, Â
We are all so grateful to be here’
