Surprises are part of adventure. Today was a series of pleasant surprises.

After a humid, windy and cool day yesterday, the team was treated to a beautiful sunny day and the heat was perfectly compensated by the light breeze. Also, the itinerary was filled with many small rapids providing a healthy dose of adrenaline to our young canoeists. Guides Julie and Cailin were the in case they were needed, but the youngsters showed their composure and demonstrated their mastery of the theory and the experts’ lessons given during the trip.

The 23 kilometres of this section went by without a hitch and the team reached the campsite early enough to enjoy the exceptional scenery, the exceptional luminosity and a soft, mosquito repelling wind to dry the material. Everyone washed up in the lake and some could not resist going fishing.
This day in the outdoors rated a perfect score.
