39 - Grand Expedition Winter 2015 - Monts-Valin National Park, QC

I am a two-time destroyer of childhood brain cancer. I fought cancer from September 2010 to June 2012 before winning the battle. In 2015, I was able to attend the Winter Expedition and do things I would never have had the opportunity to do. One of my favourite parts of the trip was seeing others accomplish things they never thought they could.

I want to get involved with the On the Tip of the Toes Foundation because outdoor/wilderness therapy is great for all people but so meaningful to those who are currently dealing with cancer or dealing with the effects. Cancer can take away one’s independence, self-confidence and sense of capability. The On the Tip of the Toes Foundation provides adventures and opportunities for people who have dealt or are dealing with cancer to accomplish things they may have thought they could never do, allowing them to regain their independence, self-confidence and sense of capability.
