Reinventing ourselves…. once again! After winning the “Innovation in Times of Crisis – Jury’s Choice” Award, which we received on December 17, we now return with brand new programs adapted to social and health regulations for 2021.
Katia graduated from the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi with a bachelor’s degree in outdoor and adventure tourism and administration. A manager at heart and fascinated by what the human is able to accomplish through sport, she has been evolving professionaly in the field of event management for more than a decade. In 2016 she founded VLOK, a company which offers consulting services in event communication and management.
Since 2017, Katia has had the pleasure of helping to spread word of the Foundation, its expeditions and events across Canada. When she was asked to take charge of organizing a unique sporting event – the world’s first – for the benefit of young people with cancer, she could not resist! She enjoys organizing the CRYO Races and is involved in the success of this very promising event.
Formerly a member of the Canadian Whitewater Canoe Kayak Team, she is not afraid to face the challenges of hosting a major outdoor event and is just as prepared as when she had to face the unbridled rapids of a new river.
If you have an idea that will benefit the foundation or the CRYO Races, invite her for a hot chocolate, she will not resist!
