Shooting the rapids with the empty canoes, first planned for yesterday, was the first item on the agenda this morning. It was left to each person to decide to live this experience or not, as the baggage was already down rapids.

As predicted, there were many close calls and in spite of the difficulties, only one team capsized. The other members of the expedition soon rescued the two canoeists and everyone continued on as soon as the canoes were loaded.
After a short section of easy paddling, we came to a long (1.5 km) portage where we had to carry the canoes and the equipment. During this difficult and mentally and physically draining experience, our youths demonstrated their character by participating in good spirits to this exercise despite the rain that once again drenched the trail.
The tired participants took a well-deserved meal before continuing under the rains for another short section that comprised a long and winding section of rapids successfully shot by all teams.

Before our arrival point, we had to paddle crosscurrent and do a short portage, very easy compared to our morning marathon.

After this hectic day, everyone was eager to slip into dry clothes and have their meal. This was particularly complicated as the rain did not let out and the wind was rather cold. It seems that our adventurers will have to put on wet clothes tomorrow morning, but after a good rest and a good breakfast, and well hydrated, everything will return to normal, as we will warm up after carrying the baggage.
