The weather was superb on this off day. To top it all, the soft breeze kept the mosquitos away. The timing was perfect as the group was able to get the equipment dry after many days of humidity.

After the chores, each participant opted for a leisure activity of their choice: play card, Frisbee, go fishing or a relaxing conversation with new friends. To make full use of the beach, we held a sand castle contest that allowed our aspiring artists to show their talent.

Julie and Cailin treated us to a wood fire cooked pizza, cauldron buns, and chai tea. Each day, our two guides showed off their talent with diverse, tasty and balanced meals. It takes a lot of experience to feed 19 people for 8 days in the outdoors.

So, tomorrow, our group will be well rested, dry, clean and full of energy to embark on the last two days of our trek.
