Legendary Adventurer

My name is Simon Dravigné, I’m 43 years old and I still have the heart of a child. I’m a native of Trois-Rivières and I’ve always loved to move, often at a slightly more extreme level than others. I’ve raced motorcycles on closed circuits at over 300 km/h, and I’ve travelled the world on my BMX for 15 years. After breaking my collarbone in a BMX competition, I had a lot of time to think about getting back into shape. That’s when I decided to get into shape on a more structured, solid basis. For me, adventure is all about keeping fit with all the challenges life throws at you. It’s about discovering your full potential.

I discovered triathlon thanks to people who inspired me with the emotions generated by their success and perseverance. For me, adventure is a pleasure, whether alone or in a group. It’s a source of energy for my mind, helping me to smile more and be happier every day. It allows me to travel physically, but also to reconnect with myself and nature.

I enjoy taking on difficult challenges and linking them to organizations that are close to my heart and that aim to help the community. Exercise in itself makes me grow as a human being. Helping my fellow man is as beneficial for one as it is for the other. This year, I want to do it again, for a second time, with the On the Tip of the Toes Foundation. If adventure helps me to live my dreams, then I hope that all those suffering from or in remission from cancer will also be able to experience remarkable adventures to the full, and rekindle their inner motivation to keep moving forward in life.
