30 years of horizon

My name is Jillian, and I am a survivor of childhood acute lymphoblastic lymphoma. My first experience with the Tip of the Toes Foundation was a Getaway Expedition in 2022, in which I spent a few days with other teenagers of similar life experiences connecting with one another, and also reconnecting with nature. The impact of only a few days was so profound mentally and physically that it led to me the foundation’s Winter Grand Expedition in 2024.

The opportunity I was given to feel seen by others who knew the uniqueness of my journey, and who had also pushed me to leave my comfort zone was one I will never forget. I wanted to get involved with the foundation as I believe in a ripple effect of positivity, the experiences I was given were so valuable that I desire to give those same experiences to those after me and contribute to such a wonderful community of people.
